Re: Side Mirror Glass

Sounds about right. I made a little trip into the local Advance and the folks there really had no ideas. I'll let you all know what I end up doing and how it works out.

Re: Pi-Hole

Interesting concept. I wonder how the growing number of sites that fail to work when an ad-blocker is deployed in the browser would behave.

Side Mirror Glass

Over the weekend, I noticed one of my side mirrors was a little wobbly. I went to check it and the glass just came off in my hand. No cracks, but whatever glue/sealant was holding it to the backer appears to have failed after about 9 years of dutiful service. Any recommendations on glue to stick thi...

Re: Who wants to race 24 Hours of Lemons?

In all seriousness, we already own a whole funeral procession of black b and d bodies. Mine is a daily right now because Saabs are stupid. Remember my friend Eric, he owns a funeral home. There's a good chance I could get my hands on some of those flags we used to put on cars during the procession....

Re: Who wants to race 24 Hours of Lemons?

Adam has an ulterior motive for that one... Also...does my Roadmaster, Ed's Roadmaster or Adam's Fleetwood apply or do we have to buy some junk to participate (as opposed to have some junk, zing)? The way I read the rules, we don't need to buy any new junk, we can rally in junk we already own. Migh...

You wouldn't want to gamble on free points by choosing a 70's German Diesel?
Does anyone have experience working on such a platform? Maybe convert it to biodiesel before/after/during(?) the event.

Re: Who wants to race 24 Hours of Lemons?

Anyway, what are the rules? $500 car? Or like...just random old crap that looks bad? Also, are support teams allowed? I wouldn't mind following I guess, but...not really in the truck. Here are the rules: https://24hoursoflemons.com/lemons-rally/#rally-rules "2.1: VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY Open to an...

Re: Who wants to race 24 Hours of Lemons?

Now that I'm done being a Debbie Downer, here are some fun places to search for race-prepped Lemons cars. If we go this route, we're more looking at just the consumable costs and driver costs. Re: Who wants to race 24 Hours of Lemons?

Mike here. Other discussions to have: - how big is the team? - team budget (it's expensive to race a $500 car) Size - I'd say 4 is the minimum, but the more the merrier. There are potentially 14 hours of racing over two days in Thompson. Car Budget - - Car $500 (or more and we sell off parts we don'...
