I believe the car has an open recall anyways based on the CarFax, so it already needs to go to the dealer.

As the coolant does look terrible anyways, I'll probably do just the coolant now. I'll order the cooler anyways as it'll likely need one eventually and when it does do the coolant again.

Low speed engagement is definitely improved. WOT upshifts (1-2 specifically) might also be improved, though that could just have been temperature related?

I rebuilt a Garrett turbo on a Saab once. It came apart ok, which was helpful, probably due to decades of oil leaks. Internals look similar to the JCB unit.
