Re: New Desktop Purchase

Let me throw this out, would any of you buy a desktop via amazon? Or buy directly from the manufacturer?

Re: New Desktop Purchase

No real hard general requirements. The use is probably more for basic computing and/on streaming as needed. Occasional work, including being able to remote desktop to a different system, also adds to usage. I have a laptop that has a dual drive, 1 TB SSD and the other 2 TB SATA HD so that's why I wa...

New Desktop Purchase

So, I think I'm going to be in the market for a new desktop. I think I'd be looking for a dual drive, thinking about a 1TB SSD and a 2TB SATA HD. Wondering how much RAM I should look for? Thinking of going on the higher side like 24 or 32 GB. Wondering what else I should be thinking about (other tha...

Re: Jury Duty

Yup, this was a felony case. And to add on, the defendant took the stand and was the only witness called for the defense. He has a girlfriend who he is still with (the incident took place in Dec 2017) and she was with him the entire time in the night in question. The girlfriend was arrested but not ...

Re: Jury Duty

And this is where ultimately I had to rationally put those types of thoughts to the side and just side "by the letter of the law, is this person guilty from what has been presented", regardless of questions that I had that went unasked and therefore unanswered. Basically, I made myself pla...

Jury Duty

Just wondering if anyone on this forum has ever actually had to serve on a jury? I just did in a criminal case involving counterfeit money. The trial itself lasted 5 days and I will say it was interesting to see a trial play it out first hand. I know during the course of the trial, I found myself wo...

Re: Funny or Die Videos

That was funny. Think my favorite might have been the guy trying to put on a sock and reacting like he had just been stabbed 1,000 times. Possibly because I've hurt my back before and have been in a situation where it hurt trying to put a sock on, :). All the dishes or whatever attacking the woman o...

Re: Funny or Die Videos

I also enjoy reading people's comments to the video's. Also, I find myself singing the "Zack Morris is trash" theme song quite a bit sometimes.

A very special episode is really funny when you remember watching these shows growing up and having a new point of view on them now being adults.

Funny or Die Videos

In case people haven't seen these, in my opinion, they've quite entertaining and only about 5-6 min (max) per video at a time. All from Funny or Die. Zack Morris is Trash- for Saved By The Bell fans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdXd-7c_RIc&list=PLRcB4n4CGcy_r21EedmNUOyVP_puToBfr A Very Speci...

Re: Gulbransen Pinafore (spinet) piano repair

I think the bigger question is "Kevin, when did you learn to play piano"? Or is this not for you or for Jamie or the kids to learn on?
