Re: C&D: Middle-class car shoppers priced out?

I think part of the confusion/problem is that there are multiple discussions going on which is adding to the variables. In my head, this was saying that the Middle-class shoppers are priced out of what I assumed meant "middle class cars". I wouldn't consider these cars you are posting as a...

Re: C&D: Middle-class car shoppers priced out?

These cars you list as "cheap" or affordable to the middle class are the bottom of the barrel. Junk doesn't = cheap. The Elantra needed a transmission at 70K miles. The versa and Accent are garbage and will cost their owners far more in costs down the road. I just disagree. That is ok. May...

Re: C&D: Middle-class car shoppers priced out?

Toyota Yaris - $16,555 Hyundai Accent - $15,925 Nissan Versa - $15,625 Mitsubishi Mirage - $14,990 Chevrolet Spark - $14,095 Out of your 2 lists, these are the only ones that fit the "under $16,558" criteria, and they are not good. Having AC or power windows doesn't automatically make the...

Re: 05 STS V8 AWD engine mount replacement

It sounds terrible but if I really do end up needing to remove driver's side cat/manifold, why wouldn't I just replace the damn thing?
I agree.

Re: Camaro hunting

Yeah, I'll probably go to a store to check it out. I was thinking something like this:

Very similar.

Re: Simplicity Disaster

Oil was good yesterday, so I added 1/2 quart. It is slightly above hatch marks. Attempted to adjust the carb today, but probably not done... I only attempted to adjust the idle fuel adjusting needle. I probably do need to adjust the idle speed adjusting screw as it seemed to idle a little high - clo...

Re: Simplicity Disaster

Checked oil - 8 days later, same. That's good.
Started it, same as last week, 2-3 seconds and it started right up.

Plan forward:
Check oil in another week to make sure it is still good.
If it is still good, I will top off and adjust the carb. Then it should be done.

Re: Edmunds: ZL1 1LE vs GT500 vs Hellcat Red Eye

With the Corvette going mid-engine, these two machines, along with Dodge's Hellcats, are keeping the traditional American fire-breathing, rear-drive, front-engine muscle car alive. Not for long if the gen 6 Camaro is the end again... The Shelby's engine is significantly louder than the Camaro's Com...

This is a truck, with hummer style rims, and a kinda Hummer grill. So, Maybe the next GMC will be a GMC Ferrari, but it wi...
