The factory in-dash CD player already had aux-in, so I upgraded from the tape player to the CD player. It's the only thing I use. I should remove the changer to save weight.

Re: 01 325 Ci Rear Shocks
Not sure. It didn't look very factory, especially how it was mounted (thrown in there). Maybe a dealer-added accessory? Trunk mounted CD changers were all the rage back in the late 90's and early 2000's. I think I have the dealer invoice somewhere...

Re: 01 325 Ci Rear Shocks
I just noticed one of the shocks has a sticker on with the previous owners name, making me think at least one of these had been replaced previously. I'll check the records. That means this is at least the 3rd set of rear shocks in 107K, 'cause Ultimate Driving Machine?

Re: 01 325 Ci Rear Shocks
Other fun facts: These cars had an optional 'sport' package, which this card didn't have The B4 rear shocks and were the same PN between standard and sport suspension The bumps stops were different for some reason. The aftermarket supplier uses two different colors, whatever that means. The 'sport' ...

01 325 Ci Rear Shocks
Next up: creaky clicky suspension noises in this car. When I got this thing I didn't replace the shocks/struts in the first run through as even though they were (very) rusty, they weren't leaking. Now they are. Also some not great sounds happen when you go over bumps. 20210522_101248_HDR.jpg 2021052...

Re: 01 325 Ci Diff Fluid
Pictures are working! Here is the diff as viewed from the rear RH side: 20210522_101211_HDR.jpg The original drain/fill plugs use metal gaskets. FCP Euro has replacements that have integrated o-rings for your convenience. 20210522_103016.jpg The BMW fluid is very expensive. Conveniently, Red Line ma...

Re: 01 325 Ci Diff Fluid
Interesting. Even after downloading from One Drive (via multi-image ZIP file), still seeing the same error. Maybe I have to email to Kevin and have him upload? Not terribly convenient. Also confirmed it isn't an HDR/non-HDR issue as images of both types have the same error. There otherwise doesn't a...

01 325 Ci Diff Fluid
BMW says this fluid is 'lifetime' like the manual trans and power steering. I've replaced the other two and this is the last OEM fluid in the car, so time to change it. Like most independent rear differentials in most German and Japanese stuff, this diff has both a drain and a fill plug, making it m...
