Bang for the Buck Thread
Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
My take is if you are DIY handy they can be good buys. But if you service it at the MB dealer you could be looking at almost 5 figure maintenance costs after 5 years of ownership.
Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
I'm still thinking about that C63 for that reason. It seems that the 09s and 10s had an issue with the head bolts breaking, which may be blown out of proportion by the forum, at least in terms of failure rate; however if they do fail it can be a very expensive fix. Other than that, I couldn't find any major issues with the car.

Interior seems dirty but whatever. Only 110k. I would really like to drive one of these. I am curious how they are. Yes I know I could basically trade my CTS-V for one. I don't think I want to do that.2006 Cadillac STS V - $11888 (Newark, NJ)

I think this would be hard to top.
611 rear wheel is stout. And naturally aspirated.
I would say this would trap between 130 and 135.

Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
Yes that is quite good, especially for an 04 with under 100k. 04 is the best year I guess, because of the tweaked shock valving to help the rear stay planted in mid-corner bumps. Probably could buy that, enjoy it occasionally for 2-4 years, and sell with minimal loss. Maybe even gain...
Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
Maybe one of these days I'll figure out how to spend more than $2500 on the up front purchase price of a car and can entertain some of these.
