Craigslist Fleetwoods

God the HT4100 was such a pile of shit. Blown head gasket with only 72k original miles.

Oh yeah, this is a hearse. It would make a good LeMons Rally car I guess. Don't even fix the head gasket.

Damn. I have first hand experience riding in one of these on hydraulics. It is awesome but it is hard on the suspension. I suppose if you were really gentle and didn't slam it to the top or bottom, you could avoid doing upper ball joints every 10,000 miles...

Cool car though. And really the price seems fair. It is a driver, not a show car.

I wonder if they made the Sedan 75 in 1977 or if this is an actual coach builder limo.

Damn, it's a factory limo. Either with real limo stuff or what I call the Sedan 75 treatment (just a huge sedan).

http://www.100megsfree4.com/cadillac/cad1970/cad77f.htm

$18k in 1977!!

4,800 lbs isn't too bad really, considering that is only ~300 more than a 93-96 FWB.

Pretty special car really. I like this part:
A new engine was the 425 cu. in. (7.0-liter) V-8. Also new were the standard four-wheel disc brakes. So was automatic level control.

Newly designed Fleetwood and Fleetwood Formal Limousines continued to serve as the "flagships of the Cadillac fleet," but in sharply shrunken form. The contemporary edition was over a foot shorter and 900 pounds lighter. Large door openings allowed easy entry/exit. Automatic Climate Control could be operated from front or rear. A Dual Accessory Panel let passengers operate power windows and radio, or set temperature. Wheel covers could match any color. Both outside mirrors were remote-controlled. Upholstery choices included ark blue Florentine velour; light gray or black Dover cloth. Formal Limousines had black leather up front, plus a glass partition. Opera lamps were standard. Only 1,299 commercial chassis were turned out this year.
Fun fact: rear discs were only on the 77-79 Fleetwoods. No other year Fleetwoods got them.

Man I kinda want this! I wonder if it has the optional EFI, which gave the newly downsized 425 Cadillac V8 a whopping 195 hp.

This is a hell of an ad.
1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham**GREAT DEAL** - $1000 (S.CHARLOTTE)
I am offering my 1994 Cadillac for sale. This is the last of its breed being a big made from actual metal and steel RWD big bodied American car and being a CADILLAC this 1994 car has just as many options as some newer cars and even has options some newer cars don't. KBB puts the value of the car at $2200 in fair condition but i consider the car to be in good condition. It has just over 99,000 miles on it which is good for a 22yr old car. The car still runs strong and is powered by the infamous 5.7 350 LT1 motor. The car does have some issues mainly due to age but nothing that will keep you from jumping in it and driving it with confidence.

Issues:
Window seals are dried..windows work but come down slowly due to seals not being as flexible

Rear shocks are leaking.. i took fuse out to keep the leveling compressor from burning out but the car still sits at a nice ride height and still rides smooth.

Driver seat is worn more than the rest from me having to live out of the car 3yrs ago but a good cleaning and leather conditioning would do the job.

Front dash is cracked thanks to Autobell putting freaking armor all on it..

AC works but heat doesn't get as hot as it should due to clogged heater core.

Vinyl top has about 10 divots in it from a hail storm a couple years ago.

The trunk pull down motor doesn't work. Just shut the trunk by hand.

The antenna motor works but the antenna is stuck halfway which wasn't an issue for me. Radio stations still came in clear and the car was always hand washed so i wasn't worried about it being broken off.

Other than that the car is sound..its been sitting for the last year with periodic startups to keep the fluids moving. I lost the title during my last move but thats a simple visit to DMV for a duplicate. I really would like to keep and work on it to bring it back to full glory but figured why be selfish. So at $1000 i feel this could be a blessing to someone especially someone that can work on cars if you want to fix the minor issues to restore it or maybe to use as a point A to point B vehicle with stops in between.

1994 caddillac fleetwood brougham - $2000 (Gastonia)
I have a 94 fleetwood that runs great but just needs minor things for the car to be right. Just replaced front brakes. New water pump and serpentine belt has been replaced. New plugs and wires but it has a sputter at about 55 mph but if you hit the gas it goes away something simple. Needs ac compressor and valve cover gaskets replaced. And maybe back wheel bearings or u joints not sure. The car has alot of power runs smooth just needs those items replaced.

Is this the first one where I'd ask "will this make it back from Charlotte?"

I wonder if the sputter is the opti.

I would say opti or EGR-related.

I know it sounds like it needs a lot of work, and it does need a few things (ABS light, too), but cosmetically, it actually presents pretty well.
