Forgot to take better pics. Here are some at the end.

After replacing the window rollers, here is approximately what I did:
- The pull handle broke free of the rest of the door panel but I used that opportunity to plastic epoxy the wood trim strip back onto the handle assembly. The plastic was actually warped (like sun warped I guess) so I heated it up with a heat gun and bent it sort of straight again before gluing the wood strip back.
- One push pin mount broke off and I glued that back and installed new push pins throughout
- Reassemble and clean door panel. Nice. Should firm that up and get rid of any rattles.
- On the passenger side, I've had a chronic rattle because the screw in the lower corner was stripped in the hole. So I was able to replace a bunch of the push pins (the ones I could get to without taking the whole panel off). I also went to Ace and got a sheet metal screw that was one size up. Put that all back together, installed the screw and everything seems to be holding pretty tight now.

Test drive revealed no door panel rattles. This is great. And the window works, again. This should come as no surprise but I find these door panels nicer than the Caprice, but not as nice as the Fleetwood.

If my experience is correct, it COULD be that there is oil all over the opti area, likely caused by a leaky WP driveshaft seal or something similar. I did find my seal installer tool at least. I guess the idea would be, maybe I can save everything, clean off the oil and just replace the seals. Not sure how realistic that is. I mean if it is an ignition misfire from oil on the front area of the engine, it's either soaked plug wires or opti...
Tested the opti vacuum harness for vacuum. None detected. I better replace that.

GM 12555323. Rockauto does not carry.

$75 is pricey but is the best price I could find, or is at least about what I can expect to pay elsewhere.

I think I paid close to that when I bought the one for the FW years ago (maybe $60). Also, I never did the Caprice one, I probably should if I plan to reuse that engine.

I believe the OEM seal is 10279816 but I cannot find it anywhere. Obviously it is discontinued. Maybe there is like an aftermarket equivalent like Fairchild.

Rockauto carries a Fairchild replacement for the wagons. And it is listed on their site here: https://fairchildindustries.com/item/?o ... roadmaster

But that certainly won't work. This kind of sucks.

Something like this might work but I really don't want to screw around with universal crap that doesn't fit right.

If I knew I was getting the right style (assuming that one of the universal styles available is exactly what GM used on my car), then cutting to length is certainly not an issue. I would just need that short foam piece that connects the two edges where they butt.

Did I save the trunk seal from the Caprice? I'll look.

I have various weather stripping. You should see if it is compatible.
