Logitech G700 Mouse

Post by FixItFelix »

So I've had this GAMING mouse for sometime... (since 2010/11) and of course due to wear and tear things break.

The problem I'm having is a double click syndrome when I only click once. I did some searching online and found the possible fixes:

1. Can of air

2. Reset the Mouse
"There isn't really any more info we have on it, sometimes wireless (battery powered) devices can build up a charge inside, clicking the buttons with no battery inside will drain any charge left in the internal capacitors, it's kind of like resetting the mouse.

It surprisingly can fix a lot of issues like this on wireless devices, but if the problem comes back there may be something else causing it like a bad microswitch in the mouse...However this is something that would be covered under the warranty, so just contact support if you run into any more issues."

It's a pretty good mouse with many buttons to maximum efficiency while gaming and for some reason a replacement on Amazon is $130... I remember only paying $60-80.

In the end I think its due to too much Diablo 3.
Will report back on my findings.

Is there an in-production replacement that is cheaper? I would expect there to be, since people still buy gaming mice.

EDIT: Yes there is. Newegg says this is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6826104839

Only $80. G700s.

700gs? Yeah looks like this is my only alternative... the can of air and "reset" did not work.

I am still using a G5. It is a little dated, with its USB cable and its single thumb button, but is has at least been durable. I don't think you can get them anymore, though. This post is not very helpful.
