Here are some pictures from Facebook. Looks like the barriers are real. This reminds me of what China did, which was effective, but also fairly extreme.

I think that is absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary.

It's almost as if they don't like the fact that people come to their roads to drive fast and were looking for any excuse to shut it down.
