So the light came back on like Monday or something. But I just scanned it. My generic tool says MIL not set, though one system not ready (forgot to check which system, maybe catalyst monitor?). Checked pending and stored codes. Nothing. This would be the first time I've seen a check engine light that I actually need the Tech 2 to read. Adam will bring tomorrow. Curious what it is. Must have been a module other than the ECM. Not all things result in a MIL though so....must be trans?? Will make a new thread when I scan it, depending on what it is.

P0430 again. Reset w/ generic tool.

Came on again tonight, less than 24 hours later, though after a long day of highway driving. Sigh. Reset again.

Came on again after getting gas. Added 2 bottles of Techron.
I am becoming alarmed that I may actually need to replace the bank 2 cat at some point...maybe I'll do the engine mounts at the same time and have a real field day with it.

MIL is back, or was back yesterday morning. Haven't scanned yet. Assuming P0430. If not I will delete this...

Looks like Bank 2 is the driver's side. Which is the side that the FSM says requires the removal of the steering rack. I will look into what people have done for DIY jobs but this isn't going to be very high on my list unless I can't actually pass emissions (i.e. once reset, the light comes back too quickly or not enough systems are ready after a reset).
