It looked too difficult to do anything other than suction fluid from the reservoir and replace. I think the reservoir is somewhat a maintenance item because it has an integrated filter that can clog and cause issues. Maybe I'll consider that for a 100k service.
For now I basically sucked the fluid out, added new fluid back, ran the car for a few minutes (and turned the wheel), then repeat until a quart of new fluid was in the system. Actually I ended up slightly over a quart of new fluid.
