Massive Amounts of Gas

This is pretty cool. I like the part where the amount of natural gas that could be recovered from methane hydrate could be as much as 100,000 Trillion cubic feet, compared to the shale gas deposits estimated at 7,000 cubic feet.

Guess I should make sure the house is compatible with this new energy source.

I am just getting around to reading this. I blame my Capstone course.

Anyway, this continues to prove the theory that we really won't "run out" of fossil fuel just change to different kinds for an increased cost. I guess it's more pedantic than anything; to many folks, I assume $15/gal gas (or equivalent) is close enough to having run out. But I don't really buy that particular argument. That price won't exist in a vacuum and will be balanced by all other types/sources of energy.
