SRX wheel bearing

It's pronounced "chassy." Brakes, suspension...things that make the car fun or a death trap

Dealer price would probably land in the $500-$800 range. A decent shop, figure $200 for an inferior part and 2 hours labor. Figure $80/hr. So maybe $360 for an independent shop. Maybe Adam can weigh in. I paid $146 for the SKF bearing which is probably the best available for this vehicle. Given that, this repair would not have broken the bank if it happened to someone who does not work on their cars.

Morning actually. Something like 9:30 to 12:30. I don't make $120/hr (or $71 if you take the delta) so yeah this was a good use of my time.

Sounds about right. Cadillac dealer labor is probably approaching$120/hr. The list price on the OEM part is over $300. $80/hr is about right for an independent shop, although they might be closer to $90/hr now.
