Yeah that's the thing. I like the funeral procession thing. Add 2 way radios and bam, instant fun.

Maybe we could make a theme of it without ruining our vehicles.

Also...does my Roadmaster, Ed's Roadmaster or Adam's Fleetwood apply or do we have to buy some junk to participate (as opposed to have some junk, zing)?
The way I read the rules, we don't need to buy any new junk, we can rally in junk we already own. Might not get maximum points, though.

Fast_Ed wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2020 9:24 pm In all seriousness, we already own a whole funeral procession of black b and d bodies. Mine is a daily right now because Saabs are stupid.
Remember my friend Eric, he owns a funeral home. There's a good chance I could get my hands on some of those flags we used to put on cars during the procession. Anybody have a flashing yellow light, some black suits, and we might actually have a theme.

It has a brand new msd 6al box, demon 625cfm carb and optima yellow top. Its a 700r4 with kit and mild converter 25-2800 if i remember right. Interior is rough mainly dash and seats windows work accept pass front only when it wants. Moonroof works and seals properly. Tires are less a year old with maybe 800 miles on them and i do have all 4 centers i dint re install for fear of losing . Its a fun little toy and definately gets out of its own way. I have several cars and had my fun with this one. Clean clear title in my name. $2500. Im not likely interested in trades. Please serious inquiries only and i only accept offers in person.

If this has a Buick 350, that would really be cool. Wiki says it could have an Olds 403 actually.

252 cu in (4.1 L) Buick V6
307 cu in (5.0 L) Oldsmobile V8
350 cu in (5.7 L) Buick V8
350 cu in (5.7 L) Oldsmobile diesel V8
403 cu in (6.6 L) Oldsmobile V8
The 455 "big block" Olds V8 was replaced in 1977 with the 403 cu in (6.6 L) "small block" V8. It used a wide 4.351 in (110.5 mm) bore, the largest ever used in a small-block V8, with the Olds small-block standard deck and 3.385 in (86.0 mm) stroke. The bore was so wide that the cylinder walls were "siamesed" (similar to the Chevrolet 400 CID small block engine) — there was no space for coolant flow between the cylinders. This sometimes led to overheating problems. Some very early 403s were painted metallic blue like the 455, but most were painted GM Corporate Blue.

The Olds 403 was used by Buick and Pontiac in addition to Oldsmobile. The engine was only produced through 1979. Output was 185 hp (138 kW) and 320 lb⋅ft (430 N⋅m). The Toronado version of the 1977 Oldsmobile 403 engine was fitted with a crank triggered ignition system. Parts peculiar to this system include a toothed disc between the harmonic balancer and the crank pulley, the adjacent sensor (which predated the modern-day crankshaft position sensor, which Oldsmobile used with their Quad 4 in the late 1980s with a cast-in toothed section of the crankshaft), a special distributor, an engine temperature sensor, and a rudimentary computer mounted inside the car, under the dash. No other years or models were provided with this system.
The Buick 350 was essentially the V8 version of the Buick 231, which everyone knows was a damn good engine. Looking at around the 155 hp range in 1979, but could be slightly more in 77. EDIT: 77 had 170 hp. But my source also says 155 so maybe there was a 2bbl and 4bbl option? Or it is a misprint and 155 is the 307...both are listed as 275 lb-ft.

Also, this was a C-body, shared with the Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. I believe I do see fiber optic lamp repeaters, too! I do get the attraction to these Malaise-era vehicles.

I do really like that van. So the $500 thing is out the window for lemons rally?

My mechanic used to say any car that can get you to work is worth a grand... He also once sold me a Saab for $700.
