Re: phpBB updated to 3.0.13
Upgraded to 3.3.10. Dreamhost did an automatic php 8.1 update. It broke one thing (that I noticed) on my forum. When you post, it is supposed to send the browser back to the thread to view the new post. But it caused an error (maybe HTTP 500). The post worked but the thread had to be refreshed manua...

Re: Rotated images

Re: This forum is awesome!
I tried again this time doing no CHMOD stuff. Worked.
We are now on 3.2.8. Awesome.
Single most awesome feature I found within 10 seconds: attachment uploader. You can drag and drop, or upload multiple files from the file dialog. OMG.
Now I need to switch to php 7.2 I guess.

Re: Buick Riviera Tune Up
Board setting was 5MB. I changed it to 0 (unlimited). Also raised max attachments (per post) to 25. EDIT: Didn't take because ImageMagick path was /usr/bin/ and apparently that was wrong. I removed that link and it finally took the changes. I don't know if it needs that utility to make the thumbnail...

Forum backups
I use the phpBB admin control panel to do these manually. I can select all tables in the DB and back them up to a tar that sits on the server as a single file. I can even elect to directly download the file so it is off-server if I want to. I can also restore from that interface. If I want to kick o...

Forum issue from yesterday
It was a hung query and system process. Once those hung processes were killed, the stuck queries executed and everything seemed to return to normal. I was screwing around in the MySQL web interface with no real luck but I did not think to check processes. Good old Dreamhost - they came through again...

Re: Mobile view for phpbb 3.x
I need to upgrade from 3.0.13 to 3.1.6. Wouldn't be surprised if mobile rendering was natively supported.
There is no automatic upgrade path so it will be a little more intensive. So I haven't done it yet.
