This is what I did on my CTS-V: http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answers/disdrl.html
When possible, I do prefer to modify a replacable module rather than the car's wiring harness. But since we are talking about wiring in a switch, perhaps it is acceptable.

DRLs on a 98 Corolla
Jim's car. He would like to be able to disable his DRLs for...a reason. Moving on. That car has fuses and relays for every possible thing. There's a headlight relay, a high beam relay and a DRL relay. There is a DRL fuse, and a fuse for each lamp filiment (two low beam and two high beam). Pulling th...

Re: Camaro ZL1 vs. Z/28
I am weighing the specifications, engineering achievement and written experiences to come to that (hyperbolic) conclusion. It's actually the lightest of all the SBC/LSx architecture engines. Highest revving. Compact dimensions. And on a relative scale (compared to the international competition), I w...

Re: Camaro ZL1 vs. Z/28
What an awesome time to be a car guy. Two cars with 500+ horsepower... stock.. tested and reliable. The part that shouldn't be understated is that it's not just a flashy looking burnout machine (if you want that, I recommend the GT500). It has actual, internationally-recognized handling chops. For ...

Re: Camaro ZL1 vs. Z/28
Also this is a trick question. The correct answer is: The 1SS or 2SS package and 1LE option. For under $40k.

Re: TV Tuner Card
The standard recommendation would be to feed the AVI into something that outputs an H.264 encoded file. There are several wrappers available, such as MKV, that should work alright. Handbrake is a full featured transcoding program. But that may be overkill for what you need. I haven't used it in year...

Re: TV Tuner Card
I like the potential of this thread to turn into a pitch for Windows Media Center. If space is what you're after, I recommend Mulligan's approach of looking into adding drive space. For tuners/capture cards, here are two: The fancier model: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681511...

Re: Camaro ZL1 vs. Z/28
It's actually pretty easy. Want to drive around in traffic and occasionally blast to 120? ZL1. Want a racing machine that you could drive on the street? Z/28. I believe they have quite different personalities. The LS7, as I am on record in this forum for saying, is the best engine in the world (hype...

Re: Wired and wireless bandwidth cost rankings
I just had a thought: Picture an alternate universe where the ISP has very low or free "internet access." How? Because it would be subsidized by ads and/or the content available on its network. This is the same as Google's model. As I said on the verge, when dumb people are confronted with...
