General CTS Vsport Thread
Re: General CTS Vsport Thread
I just ordered new OEM rear rotors and pads in the hope of finally making the brakes feel right. Cost was around $230 shipped from Rockauto after the coupon code. They beat GMPartsdirect and most ebay sellers by at least $10-20.
Re: General CTS Vsport Thread
What are you going to do with the slide pins?
Re: General CTS Vsport Thread
I'm reading the Vsport owner's manual and it says to replace spark plugs at 60k miles for the LF3 and LTG engines. My car has 73k and I doubt it's been done. I probably should do this.
Re: General CTS Vsport Thread
On the power concern, the best you can probably do is read spark retard and boost retard on a scan tool to see if there is any power being left on the table. Otherwise I'd say that Golf R was not stock.
Re: General CTS Vsport Thread
What's a good scan tool for this?
Re: General CTS Vsport Thread
I don't know.
Re: General CTS Vsport Thread
I found this as a scan tool option: https://www.bluedriver.com/
It supports live data and data logging. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGKfko_SUi0

Re: General CTS Vsport Thread
Yeah one of those Bluetooth type things may be what you want.
Re: General CTS Vsport Thread
I ordered a Bluedriver device with same day Amazon shipping. Can't wait to log some data and see what it looks like!
