Here is what I would do if I were starting with a stock car:

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/ca ... grade.html heat exchanger upgrade for cooler air temps and faster recovery times. No tune changes required.

Then I'd do:

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/ca ... -here.html

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/ca ... ntake.html

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/ca ... odies.html

and 60lb injectors. I have new Siemens 60s for $320. I'd do all this at the same time because tuning changes are required. I provide info on what to change. You just have to find someone to flash the computer with HPtuners

Then I would do headers

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/ca ... aders.html The only tune change required for headers is to delete the rear O2 sensor codes. This can be done when you do the changes for the injectors, intake, etc

All these mods will put you at 450+rwhp and 440+rwtq.

My car ran 12.65 @ 115mph on all season street tires. Stock STS-Vs run low 13s at 105mph or so. That extra 10mph shows a HUGE gain in power. Better tires would take several tenths off the time too.

No check engine lights for any of these mods if the tune changes I specify are implemented. My car drives just like stock other than the power difference.

Some of us have broken axles from wheel hop. I broke mine with the turbo at the track as a result of wheel hop. That's really the only thing you have to watch out for with increased power.

So it's my bed time and stuff but...

Says 5 owners, but it's really 4 I guess since the 4th owner was somehow also Norwood (I've been there).

I ordered both reports ($12.99 for both). They seem to agree.

Good news: No accidents or damage.

Also kind of good news: the reports corroborate the fact that this has been owned by a dealer or someone who did not transfer title since June 2017. Not sure if it has been for sale that whole time but I already knew it was for sale since Oct 2018.

Looks like he bought it at auction and never sold it. Does not answer why. But I see nothing else odd in here. Mileage at that time was 45,843. Mileage on latest ad: 46,511. Not even 1,000 miles in almost 3 years. However, one possibility is he threw dealer plates on it, drove it around a little bit, intended to flip it and just....never did.

Other notes:
- EDIT: Oh it was actually a corporate/fleet vehicle in Michigan in May 2006. GM executive? That's the first owner anyway.
- Sold at auction in November 2006 with nearly 4,400 miles where it ended up at Norwood.
- Serviced at Norwood (again, I've had my V serviced there under warranty and it was actually serviced there by the previous owner) through 2010.
- It was CPO in 2007....and then finally sold
- Next owner drove it from 9k to 15k and I guess traded it in at Norwood and sold at auction in March 2008
- It was at a dealer inventory in IL where it got an oil change but somehow ended up back at Norwood?
- Last Norwood report May 2010 with around 23k
- Same recall as my CTS-V. Not sure if it was done but I did mine...free fuel pump
- It failed emissions in Oct 2015 but passed 2 days later.
- Offered for sale at a Ford dealer. Then I guess Bourne's Auto Center, whatever that is. And then auction in June 2017? All of that happened in June 2017.

Eh, the Carfax is very confusing. I need to break it down tomorrow. The way they show the owners does not align with the actual ownership history. Very annoying.

I want to ask all about this but I think I will get a better story in person rather than giving him time to, well, come up with a story.

Thoughts?

"I bought the cheapest STS-V on the internet" is how this is supposed to start, I think.

Old ad was deleted, new ad again: https://providence.craigslist.org/cto/d ... 01760.html

I still want to look at this except it is really not an appropriate time to buy it (plus the sketchiness factor). I am just so curious though...

Not really but maybe.

Which vehicle should we show up in?

Maybe the "I don't really have any money" 99 Dodge Ram?

Or the "I don't have any money" 2020 Land Rover Defender rental?
