Patriot came out and filled 146 gal. $2.35. Exeter Fuel is $2.55 for this quantity range. That is solid. $29 savings just for this one fill up which was earlier than necessary.

87.3 gallons. Not sure why they came but it was $2.38/gal. It was on the 9th and I forgot to check the receipt until today. Exeter Fuel is $2.60 for this quantity and still $2.53 for up to 199 gallons.

Auto-filled 170 gallons. $2.49/gal. Exeter fuel is at $2.60 for this quantity. To get this price from Exeter Fuel ($2.48) I would have to buy 300-349 gallons which of course is only possible if I ran it down to a few gallons left - way dangerous and not an option (it is a 330 gal tank). This is working out nicely. Should have just done this last winter.

Forgot to log the last autofill. 166.6 gallons on 2/6. $2.01/gal. $334.87. I didn't check Exeter Fuel on the 6th but today it shows $2.30/gal for that quantity.

I almost want to call them to remind them that I have a larger 330 gal tank but I'm not sure how their prices work. If it isn't cheaper then I don't really care if they fill it more often...

Patriot auto fill. 144.3 gallons @ $1.89. This quantity would have been $2.15 at Exeter Fuel. That's $37.52 saved. Exeter Fuel drops to $2.10 over 150 gallons and again to $2.06 from 200-249. If I really stretched it, from 250-299, it is $2.04. I have been quite happy so far. Convenience (it is freeing to not have to check the damn oil level all the time though I always see it when I do laundry on Sunday nights) and low prices. Hard to beat that right?

Patriot auto fill. Seems like they come monthly?

133.2 gallons @ $1.46. Total $194.47. This quantity would have been $1.75 at Exeter Fuel, saving $38.63. Even at the 300 gallon range Exeter Fuel is still $1.63/gal. Fill was yesterday and Exeter Fuel prices are from today. Probably not that different but hard to know.

127.3 gallons from Patriot @ $1.60/gal. Exeter Fuel is $1.75/gal at this qty. If you bought 350 gallons from them it would still be $1.61 and only drops below $1.60 at 400 gallons ($1.57).

124.7 gallons @ $1.89 from Patriot. Exeter Fuel is at $2.00 for this qty. You could get $1.88/gal at 300-349 gals. You would never knowingly run a 330 gallon tank down that low so again Patriot is ahead, though not by as much as in the past.

They never really let it get below 1/2 tank. I don't have an issue with this because it gives a ton of margin in the case of delivery delays. I don't know if they have a discounted rate for bigger volumes but since they are always ahead of Exeter Fuel's best rates, it doesn't really matter.

170.3 gallons @ $1.99/gal. Exeter Fuel is $2.18 for this quantity, saving $32.36. At the 500+ gallon level, their price does fall to $2.00/gal...which doesn't help obviously.

Interestingly this is the same quantity as last Jan (170 gals) except that was $2.49/gal.
