Super Tractor!

I need this:

Using the rear of this, in the front of the Scotts = 4 wheel drive plow tractor!

Yeah I remember those. The steering takes a fair amount of effort if memory serves.

You'd have to run some kind of shaft from the rear to the front axle. Or make some kind of rudimentary transfer case.

I think it is probably a belt driven trans axle on the rear. I could probably run it right off the PTO. So 2 wheel rear driven, engage the PTO and 4 wheel drive. I would just have to figure out how to connect the steering. And get the plow mount to fit underneath. Could be cool to try.

It would be much more capable as a plow if it was 4 wheel drive with those big wheels with chains on the front.

But you need to drive it from the transmission. The PTO is from the engine. Unless you want to run the front and rear axles at different speeds.

The way my tractor works, there is a belt on a pulley connecting the motor to the transaxle. I don't see the problem. I will have 2 transaxles. I would have to have them run at the same speed with the pulley sizes. What am I missing?

The Scotts uses a gear/step based trans and yours uses hydrostatic. You are going to somehow shift them to exactly the same ratios?

No, I thought this Scotts was also hydro...

But even if they were both hydro...you would have to synchronize the lever action and they may not respond with exactly the same wheel speed.

I am not sure that matters if it is pretty close. The turning wheel is turned to hydraulic power to push the wheel around, if one is being driven harder, there would be less load on the other. Ideally, you would have 2 identical transaxles and have the linkage move together.
