This looks good, I do like the color combo of the other one a little better. I don't mind the maroon interior, but prefer the black exterior.

Would be nice to know the trap speed. Good tires and a prepped strip can turn an acceptable 13.5 @ 106 into an impressive sounding 12.7 @ 106 but it won't feel any different when you floor it, except during the first 60 feet IF you can duplicate the launch of his 12.7 run (prepped strip, etc.). That build is literally like 20 years out of date, no exaggeration. I'm sure it would be cooler with a turbo LS, which I guess would be your long term plan. And I guess the argument is, throw the powertrain (aside from the Ford 9) out and value it that way. I know you tried to make the case that at $5500 it would STILL be a good deal with no engine or trans. I dunno, maybe that's true.
But for me, I'd rather have one of those Fords from the Sloppy videos I posted. I just prefer sleepers. And unless you REALLY think you are going to get into drag racing (I am highly skeptical), you are going to be much happier with a modern Camaro.
Closest 1/4 mile dragstrips are still New England Dragway in Epping, NH or Lebanon Valley Dragway in NY. Same as it was back in the day when I went. They are at a distance where that is something you do every once in a while with your street car (i.e. Camaro), not go to constantly with some half drag car. I don't see it happening. I bought my Roadmaster because I knew I would enjoy it as it sits, or as I slowly bolt some Caprice parts onto it. I wouldn't have bought it if I thought I'd only be happy with it if it had a turbo LS or something. There is a better than 50% chance that the first vehicle in my fleet to be faster than my CTS-V is purchased, not built.

It looks pretty good right? Nobody really seemed to think anything of it, and I almost went to Florida to buy a Camaro... I kind of forgot about this. I'm a little surprised it is still up.
