It has the garbage 2.7L. Of course like some garbage engines, they can be surprisingly tough to actually fully kill, an interesting phenomenon.

So what's he going to do with it? Swap in a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack 6.4L, 8-speed and rear. And suspension. Pro tip: use Charger stuff for the Magnum for max compatibility so he'll have to get a few odds and ends.

What is really amazing here is all of the oldness of this platform actually makes them very modular. Even the whole dash seems to go in. This is actually pretty cool. Their approach to this unibody platform is kind of like the old school body on frame stuff, where they had very long runs. That makes it very friendly to hot rodding. So I will give them that even though I don't think this is going to cause me to invest in FCA products.

Part 15 was posted 2 days ago. I think it is already running and driving.

This has been pretty fun to watch - I am finishing part 3 as I type this. He works in a junkyard so he is in a good position to do stuff like this but really anyone can.

Holy shit. I think it fell off the lift on part 6. He could have died. Smashed the passenger side rear door. OMG. It smashed the driver's side rear window. The ROOF on the driver's rear corner is smashed in from the TOP of the lift. That is scary and sad given the progress.

Now he says he needs another car. This thing went to a junkyard and almost got reborn, only to actually get sent to a junkyard after being totaled again by falling off a lift. Try to process that.

Of course it fell on the GoPro so footage may not be available.

Looks like a few problems. Lifting the car with no engine or trans made me cringe originally. Didn't look balanced. In fact, if he did the proper shake test, I bet he could have lifted the front right off the front arms. Around the 6 minute mark you can see the right front lift pad is NOT touching the car. So that is part of it because when he put the engine in, the placement wasn't sitting right probably. Then maybe the lock on the left skipped (or basically failed I guess) and since the right side was already not right, this happened.

This series is a must watch.
