Maxima P0150

Post by kevm14 »

Got this while driving home yesterday. It translates to O2 bank 2 sensor 1, which is the front bank on the VQ30DE. I actually did the rear bank O2 about 2 years ago, so I bought another one of the Bosch 13242 O2s from RockAuto. I also reset the code to see how fast it would come back. I drove all the way to New London, to work and back home and it's not on yet. This was predictable, of course, since I just bought the sensor.

It's proving to be fairly manageable to keep this OBD-II car emissions compliant at 239k, which is something.

Anyway, I guess I'll hang onto the sensor (whenever I get it) until the light comes back on, then just replace it. It was only $44.42 shipped.

After resetting, the light still hasn't come back on. I have the sensor. Apparently the new part is warding off the light.

Have you noticed any mileage drop?

No. That's my main concern. Though it's still on the same tank as when I originally got the light so maybe I should withhold judgement.

Mileage has been pretty consistent. http://www.fuelly.com/car/nissan/maxima ... m14/152655

Back to New London and work a few times. No light. Ed was right.
