14 E63S: reset wet clutch adaptations

Post by kevm14 »

This was shockingly easy although the Launch Creader Elite 2.0 Benz would not do it.

So I used Xentry on the laptop. The procedure was super simple. Just had to be in the tranny temp range and it went to work. It took less than 10 minutes. I thought it was going to be this whole thing that required driving around and potentially learning under different temp conditions. Nope. It did it all at idle in drive.

This was the before though I couldn't find a way to bring this up without resetting. So I don't know what the new learned values may be. I assume it learns continuously.

The main issue was some jerking when cold. We'll see if that's improved. Otherwise it seems pretty good. I think general clutch engagement is more seamless and responsive.

The cold engagement is better. It's not perfect but this was a definite improvement.

Low speed engagement is definitely improved. WOT upshifts (1-2 specifically) might also be improved, though that could just have been temperature related?
