Its a '52 Desoto/Chrysler Town and Country. With modern drive train and chassis. Oh yeah.

The owner/builder appears in the 2nd and 3rd video. He talks the most in the 3rd video. Also, this car was on the cover of Hot Rod some time in 2011.

So here's the thing: this kind of represents my academically ideal car. Looks like nothing on the outside, but drives modern. Actually, it doesn't look like nothing. It looks interesting. Which is a problem. Maybe in the 60s a car that looked like this would have been a sleeper but now it's really not, imo. And calling it a beater is just ridiculous.

Maybe building this sort of thing out of '70s iron is more beater-like.
