I also liked the commentary about Macs and the design profession.

Summary:
Dell UltraSharp UP3214Q. $3,499. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/prod ... u=210-ACBL
Dell UltraSharp UP2414Q. $1,399. http://dcse.dell.com/us/en/gen/peripher ... 414q&s=gen
A 28" low cost 4k monitor is on its way and the article claims that Dell said to expect under $1000 (so $999).

The 32" is the true professional panel, and that makes sense at this resolution. It's true 10-bit whereas the 24" is an 8-bit panel with some kind of simulation for 10-bit.

I don't need wide gamut. I just want 100% sRGB coverage. So if the 28" has that, I would be sorely tempted. I think 24" is too small for 3,840 x 2,160. Also these are 16:9 panels so 24" actually is a bit less physical real estate than my current 24" 16:10 panel. So 28" would be a logical upgrade, and a bit more reasonable than the massive 30" (or $3500 32" 4k variant).
