To sum up my ramblings, if there is some statue of George Washington somewhere and a majority of the residents who care about the democratic process want it removed, they should be able to do that. If a bunch of jerks from out of town don't like that, they can tell the residents about that but they shouldn't barge into town with a bunch of racists bullshit and tiki torches and stage a "rally" with intent to turn violent.

Peaceful protests are fine. Until they are no longer peaceful.
