Also, this was the King Japanese car at the time. The Nissan GT-R wasn't available in the US, and this would kill an RX-7. The Mitsubishi 3000GT was terrible, so this was in a league of it's own... Then Toyota gave up on making anything fun.

There has been news of a new Toyota super sports car making a return.

Which is why serious Supra drag racers are running a TH400 and a 12 bolt for traction.
