Also GM and Tremec are developing an 8-speed dual clutch trans for the C8. Finally. No more "it's good, for a torque converter automatic" faint praise. Also, it is hard for me to understand that there is a gap between an 8-speed auto and a 10-speed auto, but there is.
The only thing that bothers me slightly about the 10-speed is that it is a GM/Ford joint project. I guess I would be interested to see if this Tremec dual clutch trans appears in any other vehicles as time goes on.
