That's a time you could get crossing the trap at the top of third. The MPH might be a little low. That car is probably a bit slower. Maybe mid-14s unless he added a non-stock cam.

Mine was in the mid-15s with the 305.

Figured I would revive this thread.
Here is a great example of crazy people selling these cars:
http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/4959951309.html
This a 1985 Monte Carlo SS super sport, It has the original rebuilt 5 liter, 305 V8 engine in it.
This car is not perfect but it is a very fast drivable car. This car is too fast for us. It is so fast it is barely street legal. This is like a factory race car.
Wait... What?

Haha, unlikely. It's not that a 305 cannot be made fast. But the time and effort is better spent on a 350.

You don't want that one. It has a rust hole in the frame.

That's why it's so fast.

The funny part was the stock 305 and the factory built race car. Maybe if this was 1988 this might be valid but today, a Honda Accord is faster 0-60 than 7.7 seconds. Nobody says that they are too fast or barely street legal. Sounds like sales hype for someone that knows absolutely nothing about these.
