Finally got an account setup through Baker, and they'll let me order stuff. My credentials don't work on the website so I called the Indiana store that I heard had one in stock. $116.28+$30 shipping/handling + tax, total is about $157. They're supposed to finalize the order shortly and get one on it's way.

Received an Ingrams quote for $260. Isn't clear if that includes shipping or not.

$260 is acceptable for not having to go through license and account BS. But now that you have, you should buy the cheaper one.

Yeah - when I started going through the license BS I thought I was $400 vs. $175, $260 especially w/shipping was probably worth it. Since they still haven't filled my $118 order, I sure hope it gets shipped soon otherwise it still may all be for naught.

Usual poor communication. My order was started yesterday by the "other" Indiana store since they pick up when Store 710 Indianapolis can't answer. It was pulled and waiting for me at the counter in Indianapolis, even though they had charged me the $30 shipping/handling. I finally got a person on the phone at store 710 this morning after leaving voicemails last night and this morning. Once that happened they took my cc# over the phone and the shipping address, and I know actually feel like it might be on its way.

Received the new board last night. 3 out of 4 units worked when I got home from Vermont so I let them run a couple hours to cool the house down. At about 7 or so I pulled the old board out and put in the new one. Found a potentially fried mouse on the back of the board stuck and dead. E6 on all inside units after install. Checked grounds, looked for 55vdc pulses on the communications lines. Saw 40-70v pulses, never saw 0v. Pulled 3/4 interior units and tried one at a time, no change. Always E6 all around.
This morning I cleaned the mouse residue off the old board, soldered what looked like a bad joint on the C communication channel (which was the one that didn’t work last night) and reinstalled the old board. Back to 3/4 interior heads working.
So now I don’t know if I have a bad replacement board and I should get Baker to swap it out, try a new interior board for the one interior unit reading E6, or give up and try to get a whole replacement set.

3/4 interior units still working and cooling after running all day unattended. Tried the 4th head when I got home and 90 minutes so far the unit’s working fine. Does that confirm that I got a bad new board?
