Sloppy Monte????

I don't think it's stolen. They have quite a bit of detail for a stolen car.

Pretty sure this car is not stolen. Let's take a look at it more closely. EDIT: I guess it could have been stolen before all this work was done...

Says LS1 6.0 so that is pretty much guaranteed to be an LQ4. I wouldn't assume LQ9 or anything else unless explicitly stated.

Cam info: http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-per ... 6-engines/
Specs: 239/244 | .635”/.610” | LSA112+3

Translation: this is a very serious cam and way more cam than you really need. It will idle like a drag racer. I honestly would prefer something more in the 228/230 range or possibly even less than that. This is not a turbo cam - it is a high HP N/A cam. So not the best but I am sure it makes great power depending on how far you want to wind the engine.

For the turbo, "GT45" is missing a some key info but being smart with a web search I would guess it is a T4 flange turbo with a 76 or 80mm compressor.

I'd say this engine has the potential to do at least 800 wheel if it is an 80.

Problems:
- Blow through carb. Needs EFI
- 4.11 gears are WAAAY too steep for the power this makes. Just totally pointless. This needs like 3.42s or even 3.08s at this power/torque level.
- TH350. With 4.11s this car is utterly pointless to drive. Worse, the TH350 is not going to survive too much abuse. Notice it was freshly rebuilt to sell the car. Needs a 4L80E.

Overall it has some decent parts on it.

In conclusion I think this car is very much real. As it sits I am sure it could run easy low 10s at 135 (this setup has potential for 9s for sure), but honestly the gearing is going to be the limitation. It just runs out of rpm in 3rd and I highly doubt this is a lockup converter as I don't even know if any TH350s had that. Let me do some calcs to confirm that.

EDIT: Well this is interesting. If you want to run it out to 7,000, that will support, surprise, about a 135 mph trap speed.

It's dumb that they didn't put the 4T80E in there (all FWD Northstar cars) but maybe it wasn't compatible with the W-body.

This looks like it was lifted for huge wheels. Otherwise it actually looks really nice.

It does look pretty good. The new paint job and lack of undercarriage pics bothers me. Also 350engine with a built transmission is vague and tough to prove without documentation.

$5500 with a lot of questions...

I just noticed SC plates. I don't know what that means. Might mean that it is clean. I like the interior also.

It certainly wasn't in SC when the pics were taken.
