Operate manuel. The 616 seems to be equivalent to the Simplicity 5216 (16 hp Briggs twin) while the 613 is the 5212.5 and they just felt like rounding up to 13. Thrower belt. He thinks this is the same belt as the deck. That would be some amazing engineering if true. I will try to confirm. On the downside he said it uses belts every 2 years or so. They just get tired. Worn, glazed, stretched, or something along those lines. And it is annoying to replace with all the pulley guides and stuff. So I will make sure to have an extra on hand. Shaft drive is nice....but can't win everything. Might be worth taking a close look at pulley alignment and whatever other factors might influence belt wear. This is good to have. Explains everything including tire chains. And I found some receipts in there.

Here's one from 2001 for a belt. One from 2015 for a thrower shoe and some kind of pin. Headlight and another belt back in 2010. Now it gets interesting. Here is a receipt from 1990. I can't make out much and the total is small, however.... Check this out. A photocopy of a bank check from 1990 for $1,750. Maybe this was for the Deutz? The Simplicity was a parts machine so I doubt that has any kind of documented history so, I guess that answers my question. Also, lol @ Max Wood. Name's Bill but the ladies call me Max Wood.

Same 404707 engine but type 0122. Not sure what the difference really amounts to.

Thinking of making my first order:
- Gas cap (the one on it has no functional level indicator and probably leaks water so he shoved a laundry detergent cap over it which is not quite right)
- Ignition coil
- Carb kit

The seat is rough but not sure what to do with it yet. I'd like to get it running and driving, oil change, air filter, fuel filter, plugs and so on, and kind of give it an overall assessment. Probably should clean out and paint the battery tray area like I did on mine. I am pretty confident that it will turn out to be pretty solid and reliable even if it wasn't as well kept as my machine was.

The steering has more play than mine does.

The car battery the Simplicity came with. I guess it could be pretty degraded and still crank a small engine. We'll see...

Order of operations depending on whether I feel like executing all:
- Finish charging battery (a day or two I assume)
- Install battery
- Tractor may just start up and run
- Maybe drive it around?
- Do gas cap when I get it
- Do coil. Inspect/blow out junk from heads.
- Consider tuneup items if all is going well so far (plugs, air filter, fuel filter)
- Oil change
- Consider greasing starter
- Grease front axle
- Grease or consider replacing front wheel bushings like I did on mine.

If I have any soft tires, I may try to use fix-a-flat but correctly (upside down I guess).

What size front wheels/tires are on the junk tractor?

1668066 belt for both the 42" deck and 42" thrower. That is awesome. It is a 1/2" x 119-3/4*.
