One little problem though. For the $90 the C63S costs, you could have a CTS-V.

Slightly dramatic but he makes a point, I guess.
I thought objective measurements on the track and the subjective handling impressions were the criteria that separated the Germans from the Americans. It nearly every review I've read where BMW or Mercedes comes out on top it boils down to one of those two issues - goofy statements like "Brand X is the better value but the [insert German brand here] just handles better."
At least, that is how the articles read until the American car handles better and turns in better track times, when that happens, suddenly the important criteria is the "exhaust note."
Steel brakes on the Caddy kicking the crap out of a $5000.00 brake upgrade on the Mercedes?
Yeah, but damn, you know that exhaust note...
I can no longer take these reviews seriously.
I sort of agree with this if you remember how auto mags read over the past 2 decades.

This I don't agree with but I chuckled at "badge reviews:"
The only problem with the Caddy is that it is wearing the wrong badge. The exact same car with a different badge would have won without question. You've heard of badge engineering? This is badge reviews.
It's okay that reviewers have a bias - we just need to be aware of it.

I think that "badge reviews" are a problem in multiple area. Phones and TVs to name a couple.
