- 5145585AB MOPAR pump (PN 5145585AB - says flex fuel, but it really means just "primary", not including secondary pickup) for $274 (although it's PN revision "AB", "AE" [MOPAR number rev's are serial, AB, AC, AD, etc.] from RockAuto
- 5145585AE MOPAR pump for $278 from these guys:
https://www.mopar-direct.com/oem-parts/ ... -5145585ae
I ran into this when I was looking for transmission solenoids for my truck. I suspect it is more of a listing issue because that's more likely than multiple older part revisions are just circulating around in supply chains.

Apparently the ...5585AE PN does not cross to my VIN - got a message from the Jeep dealer I ordered from this morning. So now it's ~$480 from all sources for MOPAR vs. $200 for Delphi. IDK
5145583AD is the correct PN - Local Jeep dealer verified it's only up to PN revision AD, said there are only 35 total in the Stellantis warehouse and he thinks it'll go on backorder shortly. Their price is list price, which is $744 and they do not have one in stock. Apparently since it's getting hard-to-get they require $35 shipping to dealer. Kinda ridiculous. So it would be $780 from them or $495 w/ shipping from RockAuto, -5% (~$25).

Interesting that NAPA lists the Delphi as "actual mfg OEM":

"Fuel Pump Assembly - Electric In-Tank Type - Actual MFG OEM"

I have read a few "my fuel level gauge was off/messed up after changing to a Delphi pump". I wonder if the OEM pump is better...

Posted on Delphi's contact form:
My understanding is that Delphi was the OEM supplier for the fuel pump for my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (VIN 1C4RJFCT0EC304593, Fuel Pump MOPAR PN 5145583AD). It appears that Delphi PN FG0855 is the correct aftermarket replacement. I'm preparing to change the fuel pump assembly due to a failing check valve and was hoping you could help me understand if there are any technical differences/quality level differences between the MOPAR OEM part and the Delphi part. There's about a 140% price difference on the lowest priced site I've seen (RockAuto, $480 vs. $200).
If Delphi is the manufacturer for both, please help me understand the technical/quality control differences. As I need my vehicle to be reliable, reliability is more important than price, but if the two parts are the same reliability, obviously I would choose the less expensive one.
Thanks,
Rob

I called the number on the last reply. The technician I got on the phone was very clear that the MOPAR part was likely a different manufacturer and that Delphi aftermarket was bought by a different company and is very likely unrelated to the now OEM-supplier of the MOPAR part.
Based on that I'm inclined to go w/ the MOPAR pump, even if it's 2.4X the price.

I guess my decision was also somewhat informed by my Delphi knock sensor experience on the G3500 6.0L.

Installed last night. Went pretty well. Fluid-filmed everything above the tank while I had it down. Haven't attempted to start/test it yet b/c I'm trying to figure out what to do with the driveshaft.
