I agree with all of that except:
Chevrolet SS all day long. You can get one brand new for the price of an RS. Yes, you have to look at it.
What will you say next year since this is discontinued with no advertised replacement. That is my point. I do agree it is unrealistic to have one vehicle be an all around track monster and family daily driver.

It's only financially unrealistic. You can shell out $85k (or more) for a CTS-V and get it done. The car exists and it is amazing. The Vsport is not a bad consolation prize considering what you get for the (depreciated) $30k or less as a used car. Then again, what do used V3s go for?

Or used V2s? So I'd be looking at used V2s for anything in the $30k range if the SS was off the table. They are just as fast as the gen 6 Camaro SS and, while not large, are much bigger than a Focus RS inside (and obviously far nicer).
