Yeah those are knurled to prevent turning when loosening the nuts to add/remove alignment shims, but yours probably rusted themselves in nicely.
Let me tell you about the time (14-1/2 years ago) I thought it would be efficient to put a socket on the bolt head and crank on it to get them out.

Uploading a 340MB video gives me this error:
Internal Server Error

I could post it to YouTube and post a link, but I'd have to set that up and complaining about it here is easier for me.

I can look into it but I really do recommend YouTube for that.
Also that is sad. Imagine how I will feel about my Caprice.
