Look, you think your way is better and I think my way is better. I am just trying to articulate my position, as you have done. And I have kind of ruined this thread. But it was not random. I remind the reader that a 485 hp large sedan for $41k new represents good value (as a new car) but is miles from being a good value to ME.

Scat Pack! I am nowhere near a 40K vehicle purchase either. I have never paid more than 17K for a car. I would like to keep it that way. I am also trying to stagger my loans so I only have one at a time, and minimize the monthly payment.

This method has seemed to maximize reliability and minimize excitement. I am ready to maintain reliability for my wife's car, and maximize excitement with mine.
