So, have you guys yet changed anything usin the tech 2? I thought you could do things like eliminate DRLs and the stupid 'last swipe' on the saabs wipers.

Can you 'marry' and 'divorce' modules? On the saab, the radio requires this to switch cars. No code to type when power is lost, but still annoying in some cases. I'd imagine that the Vauxhalls tpms sensor reciever could also have that issue.

Not yet. I have looked through the menus for my Fleetwood and Riviera as well as Jenn's Seville. Lots of settings, especially in the OBD II cars. We should try it on the RMW.

I don't know if I changed anything but you definitely can. For DRLs, I don't think the selection is "turn DRLs" off but more something like cheating where you tell a module that it is in some other country. Other settings are of course actual intended preferences that you can select.

Yeah you may have to register modules on the network but that is fairly normal and usually addressed in the repair instructions, as required.

Makes sense on the DRLs. It will be interesting to see this stuff in person after hearing about it on forums for 10+ years.

I don't really have any parts the need 'divorcing' but I do wonder whether that would be required to replace the tpms reciever. Probably not the most-stolen item on the car...

I suspect you could replace all 4 TPMS sensors and never worry about it again, or until Firestone breaks one.

I think all 4 have already been replaced. Not by firestone. And not at the same time. But NE tire said all four were reading, but the light stays on anyways..

I think we will find that one or more sensor is bad.
