Here's an '18 manual example (Cara's fine w/ a manual, as I expect all drivers in my household will be) in SC:

Here's a '17 in Windsor. I wish I could gauge undercarriage corrosion from pics.

Here's an '18 Wrangler, 126k mi, $13.5k that needs the original fenders put back on [that might indicate earlier stupid-large tires?] (comes with stock fenders):

Or what appears to be an unmolested 2018 w/ 94k miles for $16k. Need to look at undercarriage corrosion.

Not sure I'd use it, but here's one with an RV toad hitch on it. Florida, 147k mi, $10.9k, 6-spd manual, 2-door

I think the 2-door is fine for high school purposes. Likely lower resale at some point than the 4-doors and less all-around-"car". Possibly slightly better performance, fuel mileage, and off-road chops? Harder to find a soft top or cheaper soft-top?

2015 GLA250, 120k mi, AMG/Xenon, $10k

You'd think they would have a Carfax link...

2018 GLA250, 93k miles, $12.5k:

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sal ... pe=listing

But if you check their website, $395 reg/$1995 dealer fee/dealer doc fee $495. That's a pretty misleading add with ~$3k missing from the advertised price...

At some point I should just go buy something and stop making myself crazy. GLA for $10k looks like about the best I'll do...

Private party '18 w/ 95k miles, $12k:

And a '15 w/131k for $9.5k

Another '15, w/125k, $8600. I think this is the cheapest I've seen yet. I wonder if I should go look at it:

This private party one on eastern long island is listed again, $9k (I think it was $9800 in the last posting).

At least private party should be no additional dealer fee nonsense. So if I talked this guy into $8000 or $8500 it would be the cheapest going I think.

2015, Gray, light tan interior, 131k, $9000

Looks like ferry is the best way to get there if I don't take the truck/trailer. About a 4 hr drive if I go down to a bridge.
