Uh....well that's not good. It's all Regent stuff. All the more reason to bring my machine there to bolt it on as a trial.
I don't know why nothing showed up when I searched. Maybe I used the wrong search box.
Garden tractor acquisition
Re: Garden tractor acquisition
So I compared 1690556 (my compatible hitch) to the 1692239. They are IDENTICAL.

https://www.partstree.com/parts/simplic ... tch-group/
The third listed Simplicity hitch is a 1690557. I cannot find a blow up diagram for it yet but the tractors listed appear to be heavier duty and larger than mine (including a diesel one which is sweet). I believe this is probably the hitch that the guy with the orange blower (the one in FL right now) probably has.

List of throwers and hitches.
https://www.partstree.com/parts/search/ ... 36%22+snow
There are no fewer than 7 36" throwers listed...the only one listed for my machine is the 1690547 but again I have not sat and compared the diagrams to see how many might actually be the same.
EDIT: 1690557 hitch/thrower manual attached. Definitely looks different.

Re: Garden tractor acquisition
Sorry, I don't want the unit "tested" on a tractor that may not fit in case something happens. You can take any measurements you want. I have an OEM pulley spring.
Joe
Guy has a Honda snow thrower but wants me to trust him that it's the same as a Simplicity, but won't let me test it. I should have actually mentioned that but I did not.Joe,
The testing would accomplish two things:
1) Make sure everything bolts up. If everything aligns I think there is very little risk of damaging anything. If it is compatible, it is going to bolt on without having to force anything. That part number is identical to the one Simplicity specs for my machine anyway. I am now pretty convinced that it will fit properly but it would be nice to know for sure.
2) It allows me to actually see/hear it operate. I'm talking about something like a bearing that starts screaming.
So my opinion is there is no risk to you for me to do #1. If it doesn't bolt on I'm not going to shove a pry bar in there to make it fit. But there is risk to me if I can't do #2.
If you still do not agree, I don't think I can sign up to buy something I can't try out first.
Let me know.

No comm. I may ping him again if I am available this weekend.

Coil replacement youtube video.

This was like 19 files and a total of an hour 20 or so. Used my D600 on a tripod. Nearly killed the battery. I cut out like 10 minutes including speeding up a few sections. A couple captions but not many. Ended up using Windows Movie Maker which actually works alright. I would have cut more but I was saying stuff or whatever. Not sure who would watch the whole thing but hey, here it is...

Re: Garden tractor acquisition
I'm not sure I ever recorded these numbers.
Here is the sticker under the hood for stuff. And the machine is a 1691473 Parts tree link to it:

I will call a Simplicity dealer today about the long lift lever and figured they would need the model # of the machine.

Re: Garden tractor acquisition
Kinda looks like the 1690547 is the same thing as 1691521 but newer. The parts diagram seems updated with different numberings, with a clearer schematic. Some part numbers are cross-compatible but the design looks the same.
Re: Garden tractor acquisition
I called a dealer in RI. When they are less swamped he said they will look at it. I don't know what this really means but I may call back in a week or two and see if they know anything.kevm14 wrote:I will call a Simplicity dealer today about the long lift lever and figured they would need the model # of the machine.
