Yes I know some people like Fords. But there is no technical reason to run one.

People don't always do things for technical reasons.

That's why I didn't just say "reason."

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/5434970331.html I was kind of hoping the price would be a bit lower given the mileage. I guess the resale is just too good on these...

Well for a V2 this is a good buy.

Yeah, something about paying $30k for a car with almost 100k just doesn't compute for me. Maybe it's actually better than spending $37k for something with 30k miles. Not sure on this one.

2016 CTS-V has been ordered so no need for two.
Must be nice.
You need to drive one still.
I wouldn't be too worried about 95k but there is that supercharger bearing issue that you'd want to be aware of and look into preventative maintenance that may mitigate issues.

Pretty good synopsis of the issue here:
http://hooniverse.com/2012/08/01/the-ra ... ercharger/
As I figured, you can buy an aftermarket shaft isolator which has no springs in it (reminds me of dual mass flywheel failures - nobody learns anything, but also remember this crap, like hydraulic engine mounts, are done in the name of NVH so be careful what you wish for).
Anyway, give this a read-through. Need to figure out cost and labor as this would be a good preventative measure unless the previous owner specifically says it was already done.

However this one talks about contaminated bearing grease, which I'm not sure is the same problem as the rattley isolator.
For some comfort, GM extended the warranty to 120k and 10 years so that's something.
