Did you clean out the carb bowl? Was it nasty?

Do you think the float was stuck to the bottom causing gas to dump into the oil? Or do you think the valve itself has junk on it and needs to be cleaned/replaced? You can buy a valve and seat...I assume you did not. Perhaps it is fine now.

Everything seemed to move pretty freely once I took it apart and cleaned it but I guess time will tell.
