Nice to have a ready spare but I think the selector switch for the upper oven has failed. There was a burning smell before Jamie noticed it was no longer cooking Ian's chicken nuggets.
Model: GE Hotpoint RK766R -or- RK7660R3AV -or- RK766*R3
It is a double in-wall oven.
Haven't had much luck with any of those.
OEM number on the switch that I think died: WB22X5085
Seems to cross to a newer P/N WB22X5123
Which, according to these guys (http://www.amresupply.com/part/WB22X512 ... TOR-SWITCH) was replaced again by: WG02F06451, but this seems to have something to do with Canada...
I found a used WB22X5123 on eBay for $80. Too expensive.
Not looking good. I measured a 25" width so I may go on the hunt for a used double oven.
Upper oven died
There is plenty to go wrong here, but you can repair it
