Street Outlaws

This show is pretty cool on a few levels. They were supposed to only be a one season thing except that interest has snowballed with every episode.
Sure there is some fluff and joking around, which I don't really mind because it usually is pretty funny. I never watched it because I thought it was cool that Discovery was filming illegal street races so the fact that they are racing in controlled environments is fine.
The bottom line is they are being credited for people having a renewed interest in cars and drag racing, and these cars are pretty serious machines. I just read an article about the cars in a car magazine and the Murder Nova does the 1/8th in 4.42 @178 mph! That is on 275 drag radials, he expects to do even better on 315 radials.
This is on non prepped roads, not fully prepped and sticky tracks.
