It was not 3,900 lbs stock. A little under 3,600.
I enjoy that the iron 5.3 is lighter than the VG30.
I need a turbo LS in my life.

Love the sound of the LS + turbo.

This is an interesting car to do this project with. It is kind of a sleeper, but to me, I always thought these were ugly. Kind of like a big Altima. But more awkward and smoothed out. Very 90's actually... I am surprised someone liked this enough to put that kind of money into it. I would much prefer a Town Car with this drivetrain. I like the Town Car idea the more I think of it. On a few levels. I am a Camaro (GM) guy, forever. So to see people fix the Mustang by putting an LS motor in it makes me happy. The idea that it is easier and better for a Ford owner to switch to a Chevy motor to go fast is pretty awesome (plus, I am so sick of hearing about the 9 inch rear end). This would be the big luxury car version. Fix this poor panther with a turbo LS drivetrain. Then, add a Chevy bowtie on it somewhere, or "Powered by Chevy", or even one of those "GM" badges they used for a while.

This is priceless:
Found a Lincoln LS swapped LS by accident looking for a Town Car with an LS

Yeah I don't think they are the ultimate car or anything, but it was a RWD platform, which was pretty fancy in the 90s. Lexus was a little behind with the GS and Honda had....nothing.

Lexus had 3 RWD platforms in the 90's: LS, GS, and SC. Honda did have the NSX in the US in '91 (via Acura), but that doesn't really count.
