Honda's 2016 Formula One engine is more powerful than its predecessor, but still unreliable.

Oh wait.
McLaren-Honda debuted its novel, ultra-compact "size zero" concept last year, where the tight packaging of the rear was possible because the turbo is located actually inside the "vee" of the engine.
Clearly McLaren is at fault. Like when GM and Ford do a joint venture trans. Problems are Ford's fault. This all checks out.

Turbo overheats when housed in the V of the engine? How...unpredictable?
