Certainly I can find something negative to say about anything. Finding something negative to say about a $2.5M car shouldn't be that hard, since the price is naturally part of the discussion. It is a big target and we should hold it to very high standards.

I really think the primary mission of the Chiron (and the Veyron that preceded it) is top speed. I think if this was a 205 mph car, it would be far less relevant and interesting to discuss.

It is, of course, supposed to be a "nice car" and not just a single-purpose missile. And it damn well should be for $2.5M. I reject the fact that it is the ultimate sports car (see below), but I am sure the handling is decent. I just don't think that's the focus.

And a natural vector for the discussion, in my opinion, is acceleration performance. How fast does it get to 60? Through the 1/4? To 200 mph?

Some info:

The top speed you ask? Well, the Bugatti Chiron top speed is electronically limited to 261 miles per hour. Limited to 261 mph. The Chiron can do a 0 – 62 mph run in just under 2.5 seconds. That’s not the coolest part though, because the Chiron can do 0-124 mph in 6.5 seconds, and 0 – 186 mph in 13.5 seconds.
Ah, some data. This is more of a placeholder for later but it provides some good data points for acceleration from a standing start that we can compare to. I will have to do some research to see how this compares to, say, the folks leading the way for cheap junkyard builds that run 10s, 9s and even high 8s. Those cars may not be capable of (safely) hitting 261 mph, but they may be faster to 150 or even 200.

And about the ultimate sports car claim that Bugatti makes....
The Chiron is heavier than the Veyron, around 340 pounds more and claims a dry weight of 4,400 pounds. Add 26 gallons of fuel and you’ve got an even heavier monster. Surprisingly, Bugatti has included a Drift mode. We’re not sure why.

A big reason to that insane top speed, is how the car has been designed and the aerodynamics. Everything is there to improve drag, circulate air to the brakes, cool the engine and keep the car on the ground at high speeds. It has adaptive air suspension with 5 different settings that let you adjust the height of the car as per your needs.
Let's be honest and call it what it really is: the ultimate GT car. Ok?
