New use for a Tivo-disabled TivoHD

I was crushed, Tivo decided that my old hardware was too old and disabled pretty much all DVR features... Did i say crushed? I meant pissed. That is, i was pissed till i found a way to repurpose the hardware into a meaningful project.
The TivoHD in question A major obstacle... Screws! Tivo wins again! I was dejected! Not only were they screws, but torx screws! Pretty much the ultimate FU.
And then inspiration struck! I had a tool that just might work! First I built a hasty jig out of some wooden pallets. On to screw removal! Screw removal achieved! Removing the case revealed rather shoddy workmanship on Tivo's part. Now to repackage the components... The new package was good, but it was a bit tight. A larger enclosure was needed. After 13 minutes of barely any effort, i achieved my desired result; a smile that couldn't be slapped off my face.
The downside. Tivo acted like barely human prics, and yet i purchased a Tivo Bolt and Tivo Mini as it was still the best / cheapest solution...
DAMN YOU TIVO!
